  • No referral is necessary. You can book directly with our clinic without needing a GP or specialist referral. However, we are happy to work in collaboration with your existing healthcare providers as part of your broader care team. 

  • Yes, we offer both in-person consultations at our clinic and virtual (telehealth) appointments via a secure video platform. This ensures flexibility and continuity of care, especially for clients living interstate or in rural areas. The same level of care and clinical insight is provided regardless of the consultation format. 

  • Our clinic is located at Suite 3/77 Woodward Street Edge Hill (Upstairs from Cairns Eye Surgery). Parking is available directly in front of the building, we are easily accessible. Detailed directions and parking tips are included in your appointment confirmation email. 

  • The after-hours locker is a service designed to make your life easier. Available to access 24/7. Once your order is ready you will receive an SMS with an access code to open the locker. Locker is located under the stairs of our clinic entrance – 77 Woodward St, Edgehill.  You will receive an email or SMS with payment details. 

  • Our practitioners are not available for direct contact between consultations. To maintain clinical quality and practitioner wellbeing, all communication is managed through our admin team. 

    You may email the clinic with any questions or updates. Relevant information will be noted in your file for discussion at your next appointment. Any required orders or actions will be managed by our team on your practitioner’s behalf. 

    We appreciate your understanding as we support both patient care and practitioner sustainability. 

  • Our clinic is open by appointment only – we have virtual reception and admin services for managing emails and enquiries. We are not available on phone – please email all enquiries, documents and orders. Our team aims to be as efficient as possible. We have structured this format to keep your visits affordable and contact efficient.  

  • We believe that health is not just the absence of disease, but the presence of vitality, balance, and resilience. Our philosophy is grounded in science and guided by nature. Integrating functional medicine, nutritional biochemistry, and lifestyle medicine to support the body’s innate ability to heal. We take a whole-person approach, recognising that physical, emotional, genetic, and environmental factors all contribute to health outcomes. 

  • Yes, where clinically appropriate, we recommend practitioner-grade nutritional or herbal supplements as part of your care plan. These are selected based on clinical evidence, pathology findings, and individual needs. While we do not prescribe pharmaceutical medications, we collaborate with prescribing practitioners when needed and always take your current medications into account to ensure safety and compatibility. 

  • Our approach is evidence-informed and personalised. We use the latest research in functional medicine, systems biology, and clinical nutrition, alongside nature-based interventions such as herbal medicine, food therapy, and lifestyle strategies. This allows us to treat underlying drivers of dysfunction while supporting your body’s natural regulatory systems. 

  • Yes. Collaboration is an important part of our approach. With your consent, we are happy to communicate with your GP, specialist, or other healthcare providers to ensure integrated and coordinated care. This is particularly valuable for clients with complex or chronic conditions. 

  • Our practitioners are formally trained in complementary and functional medicine, nutritional science, and evidence-based practice. All recommendations are guided by current clinical research, laboratory data, and established clinical frameworks. We regularly review and update our protocols to reflect advancements in integrative and preventive health care. 

  • Yes. Nutrition is a core component of functional medicine, and we provide personalised dietary guidance based on your health goals, medical history, and any relevant testing. Rather than generic meal plans, we focus on creating sustainable nutrition strategies that are tailored to your needs. In some cases, structured meal frameworks or sample plans may be provided to support specific protocols. 

  • Yes. We take a compassionate and evidence-informed approach to body composition, metabolic health, and eating behaviours. Our clinic supports clients with weight concerns, emotional eating patterns, and recovery from restrictive eating histories. We focus on restoring metabolic balance, repairing your relationship with food, and building sustainable lifestyle foundations, never quick fixes or restrictive protocols. 

  • Yes. We offer dedicated life coaching sessions and integrate mindset work into many of our care pathways. Life coaching is particularly valuable for clients navigating change, personal growth, stress, or transition phases. Our coaching programs are designed to support clarity, confidence, and aligned action across health, lifestyle, and purpose-driven living. 

  • Behaviour change and mindset are essential to long-term health outcomes. We recognise that knowledge alone isn’t enough, successful health transformation requires support with habits, identity shifts, motivation, and emotional resilience. Our programs are designed to address both the physical and psychological aspects of change, empowering you to take consistent, meaningful steps toward your goals. 

  • All appointments are scheduled via our online booking portal, available on our website. If you're not comfortable using online systems, we’re happy to help — please email us at info@kyliecloney.com.au, and our team will assist you with a manual booking.

  • Your initial consultation is a comprehensive 60-minute appointment. During this time, we take a detailed look at your health history, current concerns, lifestyle, and goals. This forms the foundation for your tailored treatment pathway, which may include further testing, nutritional and lifestyle interventions, and ongoing support recommendations. 

    • Follow Up Consultations (Progress Review) – 45mins

      Life Coaching – 60min – 90mins

      Annual Wellness Review – 45mins 

    Each appointment is designed to provide sufficient time for in-depth review, education, and personalised planning.

  • Yes. Ongoing support is provided through regular follow-up appointments, guided by your treatment plan. We encourage annual health reviews for all clients to ensure progress is sustained and any changes in health are addressed early. 

    For those seeking continuous care and enhanced access to practitioner support, our Wellness for Life Care Membership is available and can be purchased via our wellness store

  • Fees are listed on our website booking portal. You will be able to see pricing for each appointment type when selecting your service choice. Wellness Plans and Programs pricing are listed on our website shop per item. Custom packages and coaching will be quoted via email for your individual requirements prior to commencing where relevant.

  • Yes, some people are eligible to claim for Nutritional Consultations.  Please check with your insurance provider for your individual policy coverage. Provider numbers are supplied on our consultation invoice for claims.

  • You can cancel your appointment via the link in your booking email confirmation. If you need to reschedule, you can cancel and rebook at your convenience. If you need to reschedule, you can cancel via the link in your booking confirmation and rebook a new appointment time through our booking portal.  If you need to reschedule an initial appointment, we allow two reschedules only. We will then deduct a 50% deposit and refund you the balance to the card used during your booking. If you are experiencing issues with rescheduling, please email our team at info@kyliecloney.com.au and we can arrange the changes for you.  

  • Our prescriptions are ‘clinician only’ and are not available for retail purchase without a prescription.  

    Reordering prescriptions between visits is simple – email info@kyliecloney.com.au with a list of required supplements for dispensing. Please specify if you would like to collect these from our after-hours lock box or have them posted to you. We will arrange for the order to be prepared and send you an SMS and Email with payment and collection/post details when it is ready. We aim to be as efficient as possible. Please allow up to 4 business days for dispatch. 

  • We offer a wide range of functional and integrative pathology testing tailored to your clinical needs.

  • Most functional testing is not covered by Medicare or private health insurance in Australia. Tests can range from $50-$700 depending on your needs and will be discussed and planned out during your consultation prior to referral.  

  • Tests may involve blood, urine, saliva, stool, or breath samples. Many can be collected at home using test kits we provide, while others may require visiting a local pathology collection center. Your practitioner will guide you through the collection process and provide full instructions to ensure accuracy. 

  • Turnaround times vary depending on the type of test and the laboratory used. Most results are returned within 2 to 4 weeks. Your practitioner will schedule a dedicated results review appointment once all reports are received, allowing for a comprehensive explanation and interpretation of findings. 

  • Yes. You will receive a copy of your results and a full explanation during your review appointment. We believe in transparency and education, and your practitioner will guide you through the findings, how they relate to your health concerns, and what steps will be taken in your care plan. 

  • Our team members hold formal qualifications in health science, nutritional medicine, and functional medicine, along with certifications in specialised areas such as genetic interpretation, gastrointestinal health, and behavioural coaching. Ongoing professional development is a priority, and our practitioners regularly undertake advanced training to stay current with evolving research and best practice.

  • Yes. Our practitioners are registered with relevant national associations, such as: 

    • Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) 

    These affiliations ensure adherence to professional codes of conduct, ethics, and continuing education standards. 

     

  • Yes. Our clinic is experienced in supporting clients with complex, chronic, and multi-system conditions, including autoimmune disorders, digestive dysfunction, hormonal imbalances, and long-term fatigue syndromes. We use comprehensive assessment, pathology, and personalised treatment planning to address the unique needs of everyone, with a focus on sustainable health outcomes. 

  • For initial appointments, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made within this window will incur a 50% cancellation fee, which will be refunded to the original card used at the time of booking. 

    We allow up to two reschedule requests for initial consultations. Additionally, the appointment may be forfeited or rescheduled as a new booking. 

    To help you stay on track, we send appointment reminders three days prior via SMS or email. 

    All other appointment types require a 48-hour notice for cancellation and rescheduling. A 50% appointment fee applies for no-show bookings.

  • If you do not attend your scheduled appointment without notice, a 50% no-show fee will apply. This policy helps us honour the time set aside for you and supports equitable access for other clients. 

    We encourage early communication if you are unable to attend, so we can assist with alternative arrangements. 

  • Our clinic is not an emergency service, and we do not offer after-hours medical support. If you require urgent assistance, please contact your GP, local emergency department, or dial 000. For general questions, you may email us, and we will respond during business hours. 

  • Yes. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of privacy and confidentiality. All personal and health information is stored securely and handled in accordance with Australian privacy legislation. We will never share your information without your written consent. 

  • Pathology results are discussed during your consultation only. Results will not be released before consultation. Under Australian law, we are required, as your referring practitioner, to discuss pathology results during a consultation. This protects your safety, ensures proper interpretation, and fulfils our legal and clinical responsibilities.

  • Our onboarding process is designed to help you feel supported, informed, and prepared. Here's what to expect: 

    1. Online Booking: All new clients can book their appointments securely through our online booking portal. 

    2. Welcome Pack Email: After booking, you will receive an email confirmation. This email includes a link to complete a digital evaluation form.

    3. Form Submission & Documents: We kindly request that you complete and return your digital evaluation form, along with any recent pathology or test results (if available), at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. This allows us to review your details and ensure you're receiving the most appropriate care. 

    If you're not tech-savvy, you're welcome to print the documents, complete them manually, and bring them along to your appointment.

    If submitting digitally isn’t convenient, feel free to bring printed forms and documents with you to your appointment. 

    •   Any recent pathology results or specialist reports not yet submitted 

    •   A list of your current medications and supplements

  • Following your initial appointment, your practitioner will provide a care pathway recommendation. This outlines the next steps in your journey, which may include follow-up consultations, functional testing, nutrition or lifestyle planning, and practitioner-guided support. 

    Our goal is to ensure your care is well-structured, evidence-informed, and aligned with your health goals. Please allow up to 4 business days for emailed plans.
